Study at The Edge

Our academic support program, where students get the tools, guidance, and encouragement they need to thrive in school. Dedicated tutors provide homework help, walk students through new concepts step by step, and help them build real confidence in their learning. Students can also come to work on school projects with full access to computers, printers, and hands-on support from our team. At Study at The Edge, every student has a place to learn, grow, and succeed, with people cheering them on along the way.

D.R.E.A.M. Mentorship

DREAM (Developing Resilience, Excellence, and Academic Mindsets) Mentorship serves students who are facing challenges in school. Our mentors meet one-on-one with students on their school campuses, working with them on academics, behavior, and attendance. We also open doors to the future through college and career exposure, including field trips, college campus visits, and career exploration. As students approach graduation, mentors help them prepare for life after high school, whether that’s college, vocational training, the workforce, or the military. Our mentors walk alongside each student, supporting them, believing in them, and encouraging them every step of the way. Together, we help students reach their full potential and succeed in school and beyond.

The Edge

Our Saturday program where families and children come together for breakfast, lunch, and a day full of fun. Kids and parents can enjoy open gym, crafts, board games, and other activities, all alongside caring mentors who are there to connect, encourage, and build relationships. More than a program, The Edge is a place of community where every student and family is welcomed and feels like they belong.

Boys United

A mentoring program that gives boys a safe, supportive space where they truly belong. Alongside caring mentors, boys learn to make positive choices, work together as a team, and understand, manage, and share their emotions in healthy ways. Through activities, honest conversations, and encouragement, Boys United builds strong friendships and a community where every boy is seen, valued, and supported as he grows into his best self.

Dream Girls Night

A mentoring program that gives girls a safe, uplifting space where they truly belong. Alongside caring mentors, girls build confidence, explore their dreams, and focus on goal setting, self-care, and discovering who they are. Through meaningful conversations, encouragement, and friendship, every girl is seen, valued, and welcomed into a community that lifts each other up and inspires her to dream big.

Cookies, Coffee & a Guest

Cookies, Coffee & a Guest is a relaxed, welcoming gathering where parents and students come together to learn and grow. Over coffee and cookies, we bring in guest speakers and community resources to share helpful information on a variety of topics that matter to families. Each session is a chance to ask questions, connect with others, and leave better equipped to support one another at home, at school, and in everyday life.

Movie Night

Movie Night is a free experience where students gather with friends in the cozy living room of the Nuestra Casa Learning Center to watch a family-friendly movie, with snacks provided. More than just a night at the movies, it creates a space for community, where students can connect, unwind, and share laughs together. Movie Night gives students access to fun, shared experiences that not every young person has the opportunity to enjoy, at no cost to them or their families.

Game Night

Game Night is a program at the Nuestra Casa Learning Center where students gather for an evening of fun games and activities. It gives students the chance to connect with others, build friendships, and strengthen social skills in a relaxed, community setting. Game Night also helps make our learning center a familiar and welcoming place, so students feel comfortable accessing our resources and opening up to mentors and staff about what’s happening in their lives.

Video Game Night

Video Game Night is a welcoming space where students can enjoy their love of gaming while building real-life connections. Students come to play video games, team up, and enjoy some healthy competition, all alongside peers and mentors who share their interests. It’s a place to feel seen, come out of your shell, and turn time behind a controller into lasting friendships. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or just picking up a controller for the first time, everyone has a spot at Video Game Night.
